Expansion rings on a pipe are a beautiful thing, accentuating the transition with a graceful and eye-catching flair that make the stem so much more interesting. This bent Billiard, carved by Kenan of AKB Meerschaum, wears its expansion rings with grace, allowing for the observer to be enthralled by all parts of the pipe, not simply the expertly carved stummel. The floral patterning of said stummel is lush with leaves, overlapping and falling behind one another, and dotted with relief-carved flowers. Latticed knotwork defines the rim, an undulating circlet of cords, and adorns the shank, the underside appearing as a Celtic knot. The handsome brown stain makes for a pipe that, while made of meerschaum, looks to be carved of wood.
