Ghost stories and tales of the macabre are always best enjoyed in their proper settings. An ambiance must be established, a ritual performed, for the reader to escape the trappings of modern society and transport their minds into an earlier world. The instrument for creating such ambiance, for me, has always been a pipe, and I can't think of a better piece to perform such a task than this ghastly figural meerschaum from AKB.
