With a slightly expanding stem base, Brebbia's "2801" lends the transition a more diminutive presence and, thus, the bowl a more poised and perched posture, making for a distinct Author rendition that still adheres to the classic shape's characteristic features. It's presented here in a deep, rugged sandblast, and as a bonus, it sits, or, really, balances perfectly on the underside of the transition, holding the bit about a half an inch above the surface.
