Though Castello no longer stamps their pipes with shape numbers, they once did, and this Poker most resembles the "87" design of days past. Fans of utilitarian pipes know that the faithful Poker is as much of a workhorse as they come, and this Castello offering is no exception. Here a slender, cylindrical bowl is affixed to a shank that lightly tapers to meet a gently downturned mouthpiece. It does sit, resting gently back on the stem button, and will faithfully serve as a reliable desk pipe, while also being comfortably lightweight when clenched. It's seen here dressed in the workshop's vivid, honey-blonde stain for maximum grain appreciation.
