With more vertical presence than horizontal, this towering Oom Paul from Castello is presented in the famous Sea Rock rustication, one of the most gnarly and pleasing textures anywhere. Most often, this Castello shape is seen with a dual-toned, fumed finish, but here it is all a consistent honey-blonde. The rim is the same color, although it's smooth and highlights some excellent horizontal grain. The chamber is deep, as expected with Oom Pauls, and is light in hand and balanced. The aged briar and experienced craftsmanship of the Castello workshop combine for what should be an excellent smoking instrument.
