Similar to Dunhill's "21" Zulu, the "27" features a slight, elegant curve to the stem, reminiscent of the Prince, and a forward-canted bowl. Such shaping results in a dynamic profile that's furthered by a sleek and streamlined aesthetic. Unlike the "21" which bears a flaring, Dublin bowl, the "27" offers an Acorn bowl. While not the most classic of shapes, it's still designated on Dunhill's shape chart, boasting a reserved style and svelte lines.
A sibling to the Cumberland, Dunhill's Chestnut finish was inaugurated in 1983 to commemorate the closing of the Cumberland Rd. warehouse for which the Cumberland finish was named. Like the Cumberland, pipes in the Chestnut line wear the same dark, smoky stain and are fitted to stems of cumberland but feature a silky smooth, glossy finish compared to the Cumberland's rugged sandblast.
