The classic Foursquare shape is characterized by a paneled shank and bowl, and often times pipe makers will riff off of this aesthetic, featuring facets only along the shank or bowl for a more subtle application of the motif. As a result, the profile resembles an archetypal rendition of the form, but in hand the ridges across the bowl add stimulating textural diversity.
