A limited edition series that emerges from Poul Winslow's workshop in Denmark in the spring of each year, the Czar line presents a soft Egg shape with a tall bowl and soft curvature throughout. A wide band of sterling silver offers bright contrast between stem and shank, which is dramatically dual-natured, with chestnut-hued smooth briar juxtaposing the dark rustication along the shank and heel. That rustication ascends the bowl in two angled peaks, one along the left side of the bowl and the other rising higher on the right. The rim is softly curved and chamfered toward the tobacco chamber, and is relatively narrow, though the bowl itself is thoroughly robust and provides plenty of insulating briar to fill the palm.
