A stout Acorn shape with a thick shank, this meerschaum from AKB is carved in painstaking detail, the bowl surrounded by interlocking vines which coil and twist with preternatural fluidity, some looping around to the back of the bowl before rising and turning to form a larger frame. Within these diamond shaped frames are flowers, petals carved with detailed veins, raised texture providing a relief and tactile intrigue. The shank is carved with a texture akin to rattan, continuing the naturalistic artistry on display throughout the entire pipe, and making for a piece that is truly a work of art.
