Crafting a briar Calabash is no easy feat, especially one that accurately adheres to the style associated with traditional gourd Calabashes. Perhaps even more impressive is a briar version that maintains Calabash's characteristic cooling chamber and features a removable cap. Originally designed by American artisan pipe maker and BriarWorks co-founder Todd Johnson, this Calabash comes complete with a cavernous tobacco chamber and removable magnetic cap, all without having to worry about seals and fits. Both the stummel and cap have been sandblasted, offering excellent texture in hand with fascinating grain that follows the shape perfectly.
