This bent Billiard from Castello efficiently blends practicality with stunning aesthetics, and it's a somewhat deceptive piece based solely on the pictures: The bowl dominates the profile in Italian neoclassic style, and in relation to the slender shank and stem, this pipe seems worthy of Castello's massive G size designation. However, this pipe while not small, per se, is conveniently compact thanks to its bent posture, yet the bowl houses over two inches of chamber depth. Such a combination offers the deep chamber of a pipe twice its size but in an overall package that's easily clenched and portable. It wears the auburn stain and fumed rim characteristic of the Aristocratica line which honors the color palette of pipes that Castello founder Carlo Scotti used to have specially made for his close friends.
