When the artisans at Castello handcraft a bent Dublin, they often do so to dramatic effect, emboldening the design's proportions beyond those of classic renditions from French and English makers. This version affirms that signature style but adds to it further an extra-long shank-and-stem arrangement. It's not quite as lengthy as a Churchwarden, but still affords a comfortably relaxing smoking posture and cool smoke. The stem is connected via an acrylic mount configuration, and the shank flares and curls toward the bowl which rises into a plateau-crowned rim. Dressed in the Aristocratica's finish, this pipe displays the fumed rim and auburn stain that hearkens back to when Castello founder Carlo Scotti would fashion special pipes for close friends.
