Instead, the transition remains angled and the shank straight, with only the stem displaying a slight downward turn. Such shaping lends more firmness to the bowl's heel in this piece, above which rises a tall bowl of Stack-like chamber depth crowned by a rim of wavy plateau. As is often the case in this Castello design, the plateau-covered rim is echoed at the shank face, with the end flaring slightly before the tapered stem's diminution.
