Featuring a slightly bent stem formed with several expansion rings, the sharply curved Calabash from H. Ege of AKB Meerschaum resembles a masterful work of Eastern art. The shank is adorned with interlocking cordage, separating the rest of the stummel which is engraved with a dazzling array of palm fronds, laying atop each other, filling up almost all of the empty space on the stummel, leaving room solely for four flowers and an expertly sculpted relief carving on the fore depicting a trumpeting elephant inside of a banded oval. Truly this is a work of functional art and will make for a stunning collectors piece or stately smoker.
