Poul Winslow often crafts pipes with substantial proportions, large bowls, and wide sturdy shanks, but he's certainly adept when opting for more lithe and slender designs, such as this beautifully sinuous bent Dublin. The flare of the rim is especially attractive and contributes the the curvaceous aspect of the pipe, and that undulating rim adds dynamism to the presentation. A colorful accent of multicolored acrylic accentuates the dark stain of the stummel and highlights the vertical grain climbing the flanks, while a gently curved mouthpiece offers a demure downcurve in a complementary taper.
