Most striking in this bent Dublin from Poul Winslow is the Danish artisan's treatment of the rim: Crowned in plateau, it's shaped in a dramatically wavy, uneven manner, adding asymmetry to the form and aligning beautifully with windswept flame grain across the sides. The bowl is robust and muscular, housing and generous chamber and fitting sturdily in hand, and the slender, fluid shaping of the shank and stem only reinforce that design cue. Dressed in Poul's vibrant contrast stain, the palette further benefits from a broad band of sterling silver along the shank end.
